Position Overview

In Site Construction's Administration and Intelligence group, we are reinventing how every building, bridge, hospital, campus, and stadium is built. Our web and mobile applications bring 3D collaboration solutions to the construction industry. By providing real-time predictive insights and analytics to our customers, helping them better plan, execute and mitigate risk building their multi-million dollar projects. We do this by building, implementing and applying machine learning, data science, and real-time data engineering to the Big Data generated by the Autodesk ecosystem, and exposing that data through modern web applications. You’ll be working with leaders in product, design, and engineering to build a project lifecycle process that makes it easy for the team to track their own progress, and gain insight into how we can be more efficient. You’ll be responsible for holding the team accountable to our process, and iterating to continually improve the way we work together.

You will work directly with the cross-functional team responsible for delivering administration and intelligence for the growing Autodesk construction solution and you will ensure that we have excellent collaboration and communication with other product teams and stakeholders to ensure that dependencies are understood and overlap is resolved across the Autodesk construction products ecosystem.

  • Coordinate the design, implementation, and delivery of Autodesk Construction Solution's Administration and Intelligence offering
  • Build and maintain timelines, project plans, and communication artifacts to ensure everyone is operating from the most recent and accurate information
  • Work with engineering managers and tech leads to build schedule automation into our issue tracking software to ensure early detection of project slippage
  • Perform weekly audits of project schedule and task accounting. Ensure this info rolls into quarterly investment and stoplight tracking databases
  • Model and deliver process improvements for cross-functional teams with input from project partners
  • Identify decisions required to move a project forward, determine the decision-makers, and ensure decisions are made
  • Own periodic communications to the R&D organization around major product releases
  • Be a point of contact for dashboard/wiki maintenance, and software estimation best practices
  • Track and report on our performance metrics
  • Ensure effective collaboration and communication with other product teams throughout the construction solutions organization
  • Define project tracking best practices with existing Project managers within the organization
  • Implement the best practices defined above within the Administration and Intelligence group
  • Update Administration and Intelligence communications and process documentation to match
  • Clean up and standardize our internal JIRA triage and ticket management processes that we will build processes around
  • Roll out new team dashboards to radiate information on schedule and other key product metrics

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of overall software industry experience as Application Support Engineer, QA Engineers, Software Engineer or similar role
  • 3+ years Technical Project Management experience running large complex projects in a fast-paced environment using traditional and Agile methodologies and delivering highly scalable and robust systems with at least one year prior experience as a software developer preferred
  • Strong technical background, detailed driven and have excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, Product Owners, Software Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and designers
  • Deep practitioner of Agile Practice & Lean Product Development
  • Zeal for process and operational excellence
  • Professionalism in communication and excellent facilitation skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage multiple work streams, initiatives, and programs
  • Outstanding relationship-building, and influencing skills
  • Ability to leverage technical tools to scale programs and solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or Computer Science or equivalent years of work experience running technical project/program management
