APAC Region Education Services Business Development Specialist

Reporting to the APAC Juniper Education Services Theater Lead, this role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced business development practitioner to join Juniper Networks Education Services team at a time of great development and change.  The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving growth for APAC Education Services sales based on our new market offerings.

With a demonstrable background in selling education solutions, you will be able to leverage your sales and business development skills to support the Juniper sales teams and our eco system of Education partners.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship development and ongoing communication with customers, partners, resellers and distributors, Juniper Sales teams
  • Providing support to field sales, gaining thorough understanding of clients business needs, identifying gaps that education services can resolve
  • Work on cultivating leads, driving demand and managing opportunities
  • Work with account managers, pre-sales and services sales to initiate conversations and demonstrations with customers and prospects
  • Support growth by meeting or exceeding quarterly revenue goals
  • Drive demand through focused email, phone, webcasts, social media activities
  • Cultivate leads by assessing opportunity, communicating value propositions for the customer in a timely manner
  • Understand all aspects of the sales cycle (prospecting, qualifying presenting leading demonstrations with Juniper account managers and services sales)
  • Developing and presenting compelling business value propositions for education services
  • Regularly provide management updates of progress toward commercial goals

Profile and experience:

  • Self-motivated, and able to make independent decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - must be comfortable interacting and presenting at all levels within an organization, including senior management and client executives across different disciplines
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with colleagues at all levels and different functional areas
  • Ability to manage activities and relationships across different geographical locations
  • Ability to produce accurate work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Demonstrate personal ownership of business and sales issues
  • Strong work ethic
  • Very strong inter-personal communication skills
  • Experience working across APAC / culturally diverse market


  • Experience of working in a technical training environment
  • A technical understanding or knowledge of networking
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin language
  • Experience in a commercial education/training role is required

Business Travel:

Business travel to customer locations as well as other Juniper offices is expected for this position.  This flexibility may be required 20% - 30% of the time.
