Job Details

The Principal Enterprise Architect represents the IT architectural authority for  a defined architectural scope in Hitachi Energy - aligning IT solutions/services to HE Business and to IT Strategy by developing, driving, documenting and communicating the global IT Enterprise Architecture. Responsible to provide major contribution to the IT Strategy for the relevant domains and related IT solutions and IT services portfolios. Coordinate and functionally lead the relevant IT Enterprise Architects.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for coordinating, developing, driving, documenting and communicating the IT architecture and strategy for a defined architecture scope with a network of related Enterprise Architects.
  • Coordinate Enterprise Architecture activities across various domains, accountable for ensuring that all IT solution designs and components fit together from a business and technical perspective.
  • Collaborates with Business, Enterprise Architects and IT Stakeholders to develop the lifecycle roadmap for key IT technology solutions.
  • Manage and monitor architecture governance.
  • Responsible to build up and coordinate activities of the Hitachi Energy Enterprise Architecture Community of Practice.
  • Contribute to Hitachi Energy Enterprise Architecture Community of Practice by supporting development and improvement of architecture processes, practices etc.
  • Ensures that the architecture team proactively analyses IT technology industry, market trends and evaluates their potential impact on HE business.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience within IT relevant domains.
  • Proven experience in Enterprise Architecture.
  • Experience to translate business requirements into IT capabilities and solutions.
  • Experience in global project planning and execution as well as economic aspects of system management and life cycle.
  • Experience in leading IT people, who do not report directly.
  • Experience in objectively evaluating solutions and making recommendations.
  • Preferred knowledge and experience: Enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF).
  • Knowledge of ITIL, L6S.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills​
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with business and IT stakeholders, including senior management.
