We are looking for candidates for the position of R&D intern to perform research in the fields of materials, processing, additive manufacturing, power systems, power electronics, and data science. You will be part of the Hitachi Energy Research team to develop cutting-edge materials and power technologies.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will perform research and development for material technology, including insulation material, smart material, additive manufacturing, etc.
  • You will perform research and development for the Power system or power electronics field.
  • You will perform research activities for data science, including data cleaning, feature extraction, algorithm development and validation, etc.

Your background:

  • A master’s or above student majoring in Polymer Science, Power Systems, Power Electronics, or data science with strong lab hands-on experience.
  • Technical background in mechanical engineering will be a plus.
  • Experienced in literature survey and patent investigation.
  • Minimum 3 days attend per week and serve for company at least 3 months.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
