Job Details

General Information:

Using the product expertise skill to support engineering team to engineer and design the right product. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to determine and establish customer needs and requirements. Strategically help choose technology and design principles to be followed by flexible engineering.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Acting as overall lead for secondary engineering and support customer order engineers as well as vendors in designing the customer requirement.
  • Leading the standardization of Local Control Cubicle.
  • Strategically supporting in choosing the right components or alternatives as per changing market
  • Working closely with other Senior Product Engineers in coming up with a framework of improvement projects within engineering to function effectively.
  • Supporting engineering manager to review tender specifications and defining the exceptions /inclusions for Sales and Marketing to quote the right product.
  • Works with operations to increase through put.
  • Working with Product Manager & Application Manager to understand the changing application scenarios in market.
  • Gaining knowledge on Digital portfolio within Hitachi to better support customer and project engineers to come up with optimum solution.
  • Supporting COE team on product care during new product engineering.
  • Works closely with Product Manager and other product care experts on new product implementation.

Your Background:

  • Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in technical field.
  • Should possess strong leadership skills and ability to convince stakeholders in the interest of the project.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Windchill and Creo and expertise of Low voltage engineering is must.
  • Knowledge on any ECAD software like E3 is a plus.
  • Computer programming (XML) experience and knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) are also advantageous.
