The Fashion Features Editor (12 month FTC) is a key member of the team responsible for writing, commissioning and editing fashion news and features for Vogue’s print edition and website.

Reporting to the Fashion Features Director, you’ll write your own stories while also overseeing stories from Vogue’s wider team of fashion journalists and external contributors. This is a pivotal role, helping to shape the tone and voice of the brand.

What will you be doing?

  • Writing, editing and commissioning fashion features and news for print and online, from daily news hits, trend reports and fashion takes on the news cycle, to larger features and exclusives.

  • Using your expert industry knowledge and contacts to suggest a wealth of news and features ideas that will keep Vogue at the forefront of the fashion conversation.

  • Spotting stories in all aspects of the fashion world, be it the red carpet, a new culture scene, the next It Girl to know, or a breakout royal style moment. 

  • Using your strong, existing working relationships with brands and PRs to secure exclusives and breaking news stories. 

  • Producing a high number of stories yourself while also representing the brand at key advertiser and industry events, as required. 

  • Finding new voices and talent to bring into the Vogue world. 

Who you are:

  • Significant experience in a fashion editorial role, writing copy, commissioning and editing.

  • A flair for storytelling and a proven track record of identifying trends and topics to cover - and the best way in which to write and engage with our audience.

  • Highly skilled at building stories and editing at speed within a CMS.

  • An understanding of the importance of SEO in journalism, and how to use it effectively in everything from body copy to headlines.

  • An entrepreneurial mindset, with a focus on new opportunities for stories and areas for audience growth.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.

  • An instinctive understanding of the Vogue brand.

  • Experience in working closely with business teams to identify and collaborate on revenue-generating projects, whether commercial or consumer.

  • A comprehensive contacts book, from designers to PRs.
