This role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to play a significant role in the firmwide legal entity model risk framework team, reporting into the Global Model Risk Management (MRM) function within Citi. Responsibilities associated with the role include:
Ongoing review of the regulatory landscape pertaining to model risk, assessment of compliance and, where required, design and execution of remediation plans
Oversight of LE-specific Model Risk Procedures
Primary 2nd line of defence (2LoD) lead, and partner with 1st line of defence, on model use identification, ranking of critical models and attestations.
Independent review and challenge of LE-specific model risk appetite frameworks and key risk indicators (KRI)
Preparation of model risk reporting materials for LE-specific executive and governance committees
Oversight of intercompany services pertaining to 2LoD model risk management activities
What we’ll need from you:
6-10 years’ experience across risk management, risk governance or regulatory-based roles within financial services
Excellent knowledge of model risk guidance from international regulators (e.g. SR 11-07, SS 1/23)
Excellent communication skills to concisely guide, influence and negotiate internally across all lines of defence, and with auditors and regulatory authorities.
Proven ability in cross-functional project and stakeholder management, solving complex problems and the implementation of process improvement initiatives
Ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Ability to drive innovation via thought leadership while maintaining end-to-end view
Intellectual curiosity to stay abreast of regulatory and industry advances
Proficient with MS Office suite
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
