- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
- 3 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
- Experience with one or more of the following coding languages (e.g., C++ or Go (Golang)).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with database internals, database language theories, database design, SQL and database programming.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop engineers.

- Help in building systems at scale that comprise the very foundation of Google's infrastructure.
- Prioritize test health, manage technical debt and deliver customer satisfaction. Build systems for the long term, and to learn from each other through design and code reviews.
- Solve foundational infrastructure issues so that other services can solve problems for users.
