Job Details
- Lead and deliver professional and managed projects under FinOps services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to apply FinOps best practices, optimizing cloud resources for cost and performance.
- Key tasks include analyzing cloud spend, developing dashboards for real-time insights, and producing strategic reports. Acting as a bridge between technical teams and stakeholders, also will align financial strategies with business goals.
- Act as a thought-leader and educate customers on cloud financial management best practices and principles
- Serve as a liaison between the cloud provider and our clients to obtain recommendations on how to reduce costs and use resources effectively ·
- Devise and distribute billing reports to internal stakeholders, to achieve effective cost management ·
- Track key metrics and performance indicators to evaluate the health of the business Generate and present financial analysis of public cloud computing spend to clients.
- Analyze spend trends, opportunities for savings, and advise client with specific recommendations for improvement.
- When necessary, draft and present qualitative aspects of the migration business case to client stakeholders
- Evaluate historical cloud spend to identify patterns and opportunities for cost reduction or optimization
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis to assess cloud spend risks and opportunities
- Enablement of team members and Global Service Delivery function on FinOps Service Delivery
- Partner with the customers team to develop and drive public cloud spend management programs and governance
- Build financial models to evaluate investment decisions; work with cross-functional teams in preparing business cases
- Participate in cross-functional efforts to continuously improve data quality and establish rigor in measuring and monitoring the business
- Supporting the implementation of a robust program for cloud cost management that includes but is not limited to tagging framework and governance model, budgets and change management, cost optimization lifecycle, showbacks and chargebacks.
- Be a trusted liaison between engineering and finance; on cost impact analysis and cost optimization initiatives
- Collaborate with Procurement, Finance in negotiating with cloud vendors to get the best deal possible for cloud spend.
