Desired Skills:
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Mathematics).
Minimum of 4 years proven working experience with Database Management and Administration capabilities clearly demonstrated.
Expertise in working with both SQL and NoSQL systems at scale.
Hands-on experience with database standard, end user applications and Data warehousing
Excellent knowledge of Administering PostgreSQL (Exposure to RDBMS, Redshift & AWS RDS)
Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
Ability to work with cross functional teams - Engineering, Product, Operations and Support
Good Communication skills - verbal and written
Strong in Data Modeling Concepts and experience in Operations
High Availability and Learning Attitude
Role and Responsibilities:
Dataops Engineer in Gainsight is a hybrid role that blends the traditional DBA responsibilities with that of a Database Analyst with more emphasis on the Data side of the world
Understanding of DataModel and able to perform DML, Export/Import Operations
Responsible for Data server’s health, Usage Spikes, Finding root reason for abnormal DB behavior
Keep a Track of complete database server details for all Production environments
Check on live trail of ongoing executions, Issues and problems hitting database
Monitoring Database server execution logs and Fixing Data Related Issues
Establish the needs of end users and monitoring user access
Understand user request, technical dependencies and issue impacts at Database
Periodic Database clean-up, upgrades and patching activities
Tuning improper database objects and storage style.
Monitor unexpected query executions, audit and plan to enhance performance
Remodel table or view for better performance
