Position Summary:
The Finance Co-Pilot Manager is accountable for collaborating with and offering strategic guidance to the commercial team at Vital Proteins in order to achieve profitable revenue growth. This entails overseeing financial and operational planning processes, implementing impactful initiatives, cutting costs, and collaborating with leaders from various departments to ensure a strong return on investment. This position will be either a remote or hybrid role based on the selected candidate's geographic location. Preference will be given to applicants who live within a commutable distance to Bridgewater, NJ, Chicago, IL, Palm Beach Gardens, FL or Long Island, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a strong business partner on strategic and financial topics, guiding the business towards long-term profitable growth by understanding the end-to-end business
- Support & ensure accurate monthly P&L forecasts through active participation in the monthly business planning meetings, and inputting forecasts into Oracle FIT for reporting
- Manage period-end close through journal entry postings, analysis, creating financial reports, and assist in creating presentations to support the business needs
- Provide strategic direction to cross functional teams to drive right MC/product mix and profitability
- Finance support for the product innovation / renovation (I2L) projects by working with project lead on P&L scenarios (volume, pricing, COGS, other costs) while benchmarking against financial hurdles
- Continually evaluate and challenge processes and reporting practices, while implementing changes as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting , or comparable with MBA a plus
- 5+ years experience in planning and reporting
- Background in consumer products, manufacturing environment a plus
- Excellent analytical skills via Excel and other tools
- Experience using SAP

The approximate pay range for this position is $120,000- $145,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
