Job Summary:
As a Consultant, Product Management, you will define the roadmap and requirements for cloud-enabled products and services that span public, private and hybrid cloud deployment models. You will work closely with business and engineering teams to build cloud capabilities that deliver commerce, management, support and development experiences across the spectrum of Dell Technologies products and services.

The ideal candidate will have a mix of experience in Offer/Product Management for modern cloud/as-a-Service provider offers as well as at a traditional product asset based products. The candidate should have established strong and extensive product planning, technical domain expertise and strong business acumen skills.  In addition, the ideal candidate must be passionate about customers and technology and possess the capability to link complex technology to customer needs with clear and concise value propositions for innovative cloud offers.  As this is a leadership role for the transforming existing product/asset based offers into service oriented offers among existing product lines, prospective candidates should have demonstrated success in collaborating key stakeholders and executive leadership across organizational boundaries. 

Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Directs the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the group. Manages the hiring, staffing and maintaining of a diverse and effective workforce.
  • Responsible for career development/planning, performance and pay discussions of team members. Leverages technical skills in driving the team toward the appropriate design of the customer technology solution.
  • Organizes intra- and inter-organizational activities ensuring completion of the product/program/project on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Leads the communication with all appropriate extended teams and ensures they are informed and in agreement with all activities needed for the product/program/project/solution to succeed.
  • Leads discussions around offer evolution and development.
  • Responsible for the leadership and management of project execution.
  • Leads process improvement initiatives in addition to managing day to day project execution.
  • Stays informed and knowledgeable of current and future technology/engineering trends within area of responsibility.
  • Analyzes and addresses gaps in go-to-market technical collateral.
  • Works extensively with Product Marketing to build product/ solutions marketing plans and drive them through the organization.
  • Collaborates with other Product Managers, BU Leaders and Engineering/ R&D leaders to align product strategies into comprehensive portfolios for the BU
  • Leads the process of establishing and communicating strategic plans and objectives
  • Leads the development of product and solution requirements that start with the needs of the customer and offer unique value relative to available and anticipated offers. 
  • Drives the creation of offer value propositions and core content for specific target segments and use cases.
  • Drives the overall go to market plan inclusive of business case and forecasting, drive messaging and technical proof points for marketing campaigns, influence pricing and offer structure, and enable strategies for direct sales and partner led sales.
  • Monitor business results and drive strategies to accelerate growth, address threats and convert potential opportunities into results. 
  • Makes key decisions on resourcing, capacity modeling and forecasts
  • Actively maintains key customer relationships and partners, and sales to gather feedback and identify ways to improve the offer definition. 
  • Actively maintains relationships with executives internally
  • Works directly with marketing leadership to identify relevant solutions that address customer requirements
  • Partners with global functional leaders to create future product roadmaps

Experience required:

  • 12+ of experience leading Product Management and engineering teams with direct experience in defining/delivering cloud or software offers. 
  • Expert technology/engineering skills relating to design, test and quality
  • Expert understanding of business goals and objectives as they relate to customer use cases and solutions
  • Negotiation skills; Ability to influence at all levels to achieve results
  • B.S. in Engineering and Masters in Business Administration preferred.
