As a Senior Sales Engineer (SE) for Dell Endpoint Security you will be responsible for the technical sales activities of our suite of our market-leading endpoint, perimeter, and cloud-based security software and services from companies such as Carbon Black, Secureworks, Netskope, Absolute, Carbonite, and our own core encryption IP.  This is along with hardware-focused security solutions such as BIOS validation and secure credential storage.  At Dell Endpoint Security we have market depth, breadth and leadership to sell in ways to other software vendors can’t.  This is via traditional volume selling, via attaching to hardware shipments, and/or with the help of Dell Financial Services.  This makes us unique and extremely powerful in the market.  By combining the strength of these solutions together we can be a part of strategic conversations at the highest levels with customers to provide a holistic security platform that other pureplay vendors can’t.  Combining best-of-breed technology with Dell’s massive scale is a winning combination!

The SE should have proven experience with soliciting business requirements, developing a technical sales strategy, configuring and effectively demonstrating the solutions that address these requirements and provide business value, including proof-of-concept phases. Demonstrations include presentations to business and technical audiences ranging from end users to Sr. Executives using a variety of technology, as well as impromptu discussions.

The SE assists and often leads in sales opportunities along with the Account Executive. As a key member of Sales team, the Sales Engineer is also responsible for adhering to Dells core values, and providing measurable customer value.

Responsibilities :
-Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Data Encryption at rest, Anti-virus/Anti-malware (Next Gen AI/ML), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Incident Response, Cloud Security (CASB/SASE), Managed Services , on-prem and cloud-based solutions
- Develop and demonstrate core competence within the Dell Data Security product line of software solutions.
- Provide flawless product presentations, demonstrations, proofs of concept, RFI/RFP responses and more.  Basically the full technical validation cycle for every opportunity
- Provide a feedback loop from the field to Product Marketing on market requirements.
- Work with Product Marketing, Sales, and Engineering teams to identify and resolve potential inadequacies in the products.
- Deliver demonstrable examples of technology that highlight the value of the Dell Data Security product line.
- Demonstrate the ability to understand local/global compliance laws/initiatives, and other security standards.
- Maintains up-to-date certifications on current products, tools, and architecture
- Participates in all appropriate product training to acquire and maintain a detailed level of product knowledge
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows OS, Mac OS, Virtualization, SQL Server, firewalls, networking protocols, certificates, virtual and physical client/server environments, cloud –based environment
- Ability to discuss a wide variety of endpoint technology, including desktop/laptop, handhelds, tablets, etc.
- Knowledge of trends in the security space around encryption and anti-malware.
- Ability to travel upon request, and attend customer and company meetings.


Requirements:
- 5+ recent years selling complex security software solutions into Mid-size and large corporations.
- Product and Technical Knowledge. Delivers an expert level of the technical value in presenting the full benefits of the solutions we represent.  All the technical features and the supporting technologies driving the operation of our solutions.   Also presenting all the competitive advantages and business benefits of our products
- Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Data Encryption at rest and in motion, Anti-virus/Anti-malware (Next Gen), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Incident Response, Managed Services
- Experience with Vmware workstation, AWS, Azure, Windows OS, scripting, SQL server, Linux, Windows, Mac, network protocols, firewalls

- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills a must.
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
