Dell Technologies Services (DT Services) is a multi-billion dollar revenue business unit of Dell seeking an experienced Information Security Officer to join our energetic and fast-paced environment focused on managing cybersecurity service delivery, developing the business segment cybersecurity programs and overseeing the cybersecurity controls underpinning our global deploy, support, and managed services delivery.

The DT Services Information Security Officer (ISO) will have the responsibility to support and oversee global business segment implementation of the information and cyber security programs across DT Services. The Information Security Officer must also develop trusted relationships with internal IT and business stakeholders, to understand their business strategy and objectives, and devise effective and efficient ways to implement security architectures and frameworks to and support those objectives. They must also work cross-functionally with a team of Dell security and resiliency service delivery centers to help protect our customers and company.

This position will direct report to the Business Unit Security Officer and Head of Security for DT Services.

The ideal candidate will be adaptable and forward-leaning, results-driven and accountability-minded, and always looking for ways to enable the business in a compliant, secure, and resilient manner.

Key activities:

  • Serve as a liaison between the DT Services Security and Resiliency Team (SRT) and the central cybersecurity organization, primarily interacting with the global CISO and cybersecurity leadership team
  • Provides expertise and consultation to business segment cybersecurity strategies, helping foster alignment with overall Dell cybersecurity strategy.
  • Serve as a technical security leader for DT Services, advising stakeholders on security architectures, compliance initiatives and facilitating their management of risk appetite
  • Engage with DT Services partners, customers and other external stakeholders, inspiring confidence in DT Services security posture and Dell’s brand
  • Mentor and provide leadership and day to day management support to two or more professionals
  • Own and drive the implementation of the security framework aligned to industry recognized standards i.e. NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, and ISO 2700x
  • Mature and campaign the security governance program to drive proper oversight and strategy.
  • Orchestrate the provisioning of central cybersecurity and resiliency services to support DT Services.
  • Develop organic capabilities to address those needs that are unable to be met by Dell global cybersecurity service delivery centers
  • Integrate security and resiliency risk insights and advice into business strategy and operations through forward-leaning engagement and deep integration with business unit and IT management activities

Critical Hiring Criteria


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or a related field
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Risk Management, or related field preferred
  • ISACA CRISC or CISM, (ISC)² CISSP or CISSP-ISSMP certifications preferred.


  • Professional experience as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Business Information Security Officer (BISO), Information Assurance Officer, or related preferred
  • Broad and diverse experience across cybersecurity strategy, operations, security architecture, vulnerability management, and cloud security preferred
  • Experience in professional services and customer facing environments preferred
  • Profit and loss center ownership and accountability experience preferred
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing and shifting priorities
  • Ability to drive highly complex, cross-organizational initiatives through the influencing of and negotiation with stakeholders who at times may hold competing equities
  • Ability to engage executive level stakeholders on complex matters in a substantive manner with limited oversight and guidance
  • Ability to confidently and effectively present complex technical topics to senior non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a larger matrixed organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical proficiency
