Job Description

As a Medical Advisor at AbbVie Slovenia, you will play a critical role in supporting our Neuroscience & Specialty Care initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide medical expertise, drive scientific engagement, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory guidelines, industry codes and company policies. This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional eager to contribute to impactful advancements in healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical and scientific expertise in the field of Neuroscience and Specialty Care to support AbbVie's initiatives and strategies in the affiliate
  • Develop and maintain proffesional relationships with key opinion leaders, external experts, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders in the affiliate
  • Collaborate effectively with the cross-functional team or within the matrix to support the development and execution of medical and clinical strategies
  • Serve as a medical/scientific voice of expertise for internal and external queries related to Neuroscience and Specialty Care therapy area in Abbvie
  • Provide medical/scientific input into the development of product or TA specific strategic medical affairs plans for the affiliate and local commercial/marketing plans
  • Provide strategic input and operational support for activities like local clinical research, interactions with healthcare professionals, data generation, educational initiatives, and patient safety
  • Execute local medical affairs implementation plans efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local legislation, regulatory guidelines, industry codes and company policies
  • Deliver scientific presentations and engage in discussions at local and regional meetings
  • Review promotional material ensuring medical/scientific content is accurate and compliant
  • Deliver trainings to internal stakeholders and develop/update relevant training materials
  • Lead literature review from scientific meetings and conferences; develops summaries of key messages for internal use, focusing on scientific interest areas and new trends in the therapeutic area
  • Work dynamically across multiple channels, adjusting channel choice and tailoring content and messages/medical discussion topics appropriately, to meet evolving customer preferences

Qualifications

  • Relevant university degree (Medical Degree or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline)
  • Relevant 3-5 years of experience with proven track record in medical affairs within pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong interest in developing and maintaining expertise in assigned therapeutic areas/products and medical research
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and spoken)
  • Strong commitment to compliance, scientific quality and integrity
  • Adherence to national laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, and AbbVie's policies and procedures
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, and the ability to execute tasks effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with healthcare professionals and stakeholders
  • Slovenian & English language proficiency (written and oral)
  • Valid driving licence
