We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Quantitative Model Reviewer to work in our Finance Division.
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis, and advisory services of the Firm’s financial and capital resources.
The Valuation Control Model Control teams sit within Finance and are responsible for the review and assessment of complex mathematical models used for valuations of exotic derivatives and other financial instruments. The team also performs the assessment of valuation methodologies, testing of valuation tools, identification and resolution of valuation discrepancies, and communicating assessments to senior management and challenging model developers. One of the main purposes of the team is to provide technical advisory to Finance and the VC mark review line teams on various valuation and complex financial modelling issues.
The candidate will sit within the Macro or Equities Model Control team, and as a senior model reviewer will cover complex products like exotic structured derivatives and corporate equities. The candidate will work closely with strats and traders in New York, London, Hong Kong, as well as model risk management and the local mark review teams.

What you’ll do in the role
- Use quantitative techniques and market intuition to perform analysis on often novel or unconventional trades
- Work with trading and front office quants and risk department regularly on marking methodologies and model framework
- Use your financial market and mathematical knowledge to review valuation and risk models while working closely with model developers
- Analyze pricing factors in complex financial products and comprehend market movements’ impact on the portfolio and firm
- Be responsible for managing a team, not only allocating and reviewing the team members’ monthly deliverables but supporting their professional development by providing the right opportunities for them
What you’ll bring to the role
- Strong academics in finance or a quantitative discipline such as financial engineering, mathematics, physics, engineering or other technical field
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in quantitative financial field
- Demonstrated experience in quantitative modelling of financial markets and products
- Relish challenges – you are excited by the prospect of working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
- Proven ability to develop strong internal client relationships and exceptional communication skills
- Experience managing a medium sized team of 4-5 people
