Quip's Operations Associate will support the employee operations team. This person will focus on Quip-specific employee onboarding, experience, and communications, but will also be asked to complete light office management tasks. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, adept at juggling many projects in motion, possess outstanding communication skills for working with a wide variety of employees. This job is ideal for someone that wants a blend of individual project based work, and working with people. This role reports to the Senior Supervisor, Employee Operations at Quip.

Responsibilities Quip Onboarding Program

Support the Quip onboarding program for new hires & internal transfers.

  • Help maintain onboarding documentation

  • Lead onboarding sessions

  • Support additional aspects of the onboarding program as needed

Ongoing Employee Experience at Quip:

Support the day-to-day programming for Quip employees in the SF office & distributed across AMER.

  • Help execute Quip's all-company events including social events, internal strategic events, cultural events, and volunteering opportunities

  • Provide timely and accurate information regarding processes, policies, and procedures to employees

  • Ensure Quip's culture extends to members of its' distributed team

  • Order and manage swag associated with employee onboarding, all-company events, and special occasions

  • Execute and ensure the success of our employee programs including, lunch, haircuts, and employee celebrations

  • Execute light office management tasks, such a set up new hires with their equipment & spaces, and managing desk move processes, and expense reports

  • Support additional aspects of the employee experience team as needed

Communications & Culture:

Support the internal communications and culture of Quip

  • Assist with internal communications projects

  • Support Quip’s all company meetings

  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives at Quip

Skills & Experience Requirements:
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, changing work environment

  • Ability to quickly learn new technical systems and proficient in google suite (gcal, google docs, gmail etc.)

  • Project management skills

    • You have a track record of managing multiple projects at once

    • You understand and make the tradeoffs necessary to scale programs effectively

    • You can balance being detail oriented & fast execution

    • Organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple work activities with the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrates the ability to maintain high level of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion and judgment.

  • Interpersonal skills:

    • Friendly and positive attitude.

    • The ability to work well with a wide variety of people

    • Is emotionally intelligent and can work successfully both independently and within a team

  • Excellent public speaking & writing skills:

  • Ability to communicate concepts in a concise and instructive manner to different skill and experience levels across a variety of mediums - public speaking, documentation, email or chat, and 1:1.

  • Flexible, in terms of willingness to jump in and help. The Quip operations team is all hands on deck.

Desired Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree or relevant experience; this is in excellent job for a new graduate, or someone with 1-2 years of professional experience.

  • Event planning & project management experience

  • Experience with public speaking
