Institutional Securities Technology (IST) is one of seven divisions within Technology & Data. We face off to the business and support services to develop and oversee the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the enterprise. Our clients include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, Global Capital Markets, Operations, Finance, and Legal & Compliance. Description

We are looking for a lead developer in the retail structured products web (RSPWEB) team of the Equity Structured Products Trading Department. The RSPWEB team is responsible for development of internal and external web sites which create business information hubs for a complete, uniform and robust view of our data to ensure that our internal and external customers have the correct information at their fingertips to make appropriate decisions.

Job Responsibilities

Work with various front-end/middleware/backend teams to implement and deliver sub-systems of Equity Structured Products Platform.

Provide technical guidance to team members.

Interface directly with business unit sponsors to gather requirements and document specifications

Involvement in the full development lifecycle of projects.

Participate and lead in driving future direction and architecture of the system including reengineering, usage of cloud and performance improvements

Perform code reviews and implement best design practices.

Work with second level support team to provide production support.

Skills

More than 8 years of hand-ons development experience with some experience on team leadership

Experience in one or more of the following development languages: Java/Scala/Angular/HTML5

Strong desire to work in a front office trading environment.

Experience or eager to learn about business areas such as equities derivatives and structured products.

Experience with best practices in agile, design patterns, unit testing, performance/memory analysis, and n-tier architecture.

Experience with communicate with the business unit sponsors effectively and working with larger teams to deliver projects successfully.

Strong verbal & written skills required to interact with global teams.
