Azure Sentinel is one of the new hottest cybersecurity tools capturing the market’s attention allowing businesses to better assess, prioritize, detect, and respond to threats by automating repeatable processes and ensuring security teams are dealing with the most important alerts.

 

Our team is growing and we’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join us in our journey and help grow the team. This position is a unique opportunity to be part of a world class team, building one of the most exciting security products in the cyber security space from the ground up.

Responsibilities

As the Principal Development manager, you will:

  • Build and manage a team of diverse full stack engineers, mentor, coach and model our leadership principles and core values.
  • Be responsible for the delivery and quality of E2E scenarios in a wide product area within Azure Sentinel and take part in the overall vision and strategy of this area. Own product backlog, drive execution, service quality and manage outcomes. Take an active part in the definition, architecture and release of your team’s scenarios.
  • Work closely with product management throughout the product development lifecycle. Partner with local and remote teams, architects, security experts, data scientists, designers, and of course, other engineering managers to collaborate and integrate with additional capabilities that exist in Azure Sentinel’s eco system.
  • Build an agile, data driven and customer obsessed culture. Define clear KPIs to measure impact and use data to drive decision making.
  • Communicate clearly about projects, risks, and accomplishments on behalf of the team to upper management.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ year/s people management experience
  • 8+ years of product or engineering experience with a solid shipping track record

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing and operating cloud services at scale
  • Passion in building and designing large-scale systems; prior experience in building large scale online systems is a big plus.
  • Full stack development experience
  • Ability to collaborate, communicate, and effectively influence technical strategy with a growth mindset
  • A track record of mentoring, coaching and developing diverse engineers and leading by example, ability to lead in ambiguous situations
  • Good cross team, cross geolocation collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of security technologies is highly desirable but not required.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:   

- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
