  • We are looking for a passionate and experienced engineering manager to join Spotify’s Data Foundations product area. The Data Foundations product area is a part of the Data and Insights tribe - Spotify’s division that is dedicated to building out a world class data and insights platform. Our vision is to enable Spotify to become the best company in the world leveraging data and insights to drive the business forward. Data Foundation provides the platform that enables Spotify to efficiently produce, manage and consume high quality data. As an engineering manager, you will manage and lead the engineers in 1-2 of our squads and in collaboration with product managers support the teams to have a high degree of impact. 
    Who you are
    • You love developing and growing people and have a track record doing it
    • You have experience in leading, managing, coaching and mentoring software developers towards delivering timely, high quality software together with them
    • You have experience in cultivating a strong engineering culture in an agile environment
    • You have a proven engineering background with previous experience developing large scale systems for data engineering, including processing, storage, quality and management
    • You have experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders and helping them understand the trade-offs to different product and technical decisions.
    • You care about agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and responsible experimentation
    What you'll do
    • You will build and lead a team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, feedback and hands-on career development
    • Drive and be accountable for technical delivery and work with your team on strategy and execution
    • Facilitate collaboration with other engineers and product managers in solving interesting and challenging problems across the platform
    • Advocate and advance modern, agile software development practices and help develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices
    • Grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in line with the company values
    • Be an active part of the leadership team and collaborate with other leaders in the organisation
    • Grow the technical expertise of the team
