The Senior Strategic Communications Manager: Social Media Marketing is responsible for overseeing the strategic development and implementation of Verisign social media advertising campaigns and initiatives. As a member of the Strategic Communications team, the person in this role will work with senior leaders in both the Strategic Communications and Marketing teams to establish and meet the objectives of marketing campaigns, including but not limited to: increasing brand recognition, improving web traffic and engagement, and amplifying product messaging. This position requires creativity, strong project management, the ability to work independently with multiple stakeholders, attention to detail, and a data mindset. The right candidate has a unique opportunity to serve multiple critical teams as resident expert and senior consultant on all things paid social media.

Verisign, a global provider of domain name registry services and internet infrastructure, enables internet navigation for many of the world’s most recognized domain names. Verisign enables the security, stability, and resiliency of key internet infrastructure and services, including providing root zone maintainer services, operating two of the 13 global internet root servers, and providing registration services and authoritative resolution for the .com and .net top-level domains, which support the majority of global e-commerce.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a consultant to marketing team members in campaign planning, research, execution, and measurement.
• Work collaboratively with strategic communications and marketing leaders to conceive, build and execute social media campaigns, including setting performance benchmarks, developing content, identifying target audiences, and tracking the appropriate data.
• Monitoring daily campaign performance and engagement.
• Tracking and analyzing data to build reports and gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness.


Qualifications & Experience Requirements

  • 5 or more years experience running paid advertising campaigns on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube required.
  • Bachelor degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience using Sprinklr to manage paid advertising highly recommended.
  • Experience with campaign measurement and tracking fundamentals; knowledge of Adobe Analytics and Tableau preferred.
  • Strong analytical and metrics-oriented mindset that can not only process quantitative results, but also provide actionable suggestions based on these results.
  • Facebook buying or planning advertising certification a plus.
  • Ability to work with little supervision and ask for guidance when needed.
  • Takes initiative and effectively anticipated what’s needed.
  • Ability to work efficiently with a high attention to detail.
