Manager, Revenue Operations

Wall Street Journal Digital, the world’s premier publisher of online business and financial news including The Wall Street Journal Online, Barron’s Online and MarketWatch, has an exciting career opportunity available as a Revenue Operations Manager within the Strategic Planning & Delivery team. As a Revenue Operations manager, you will manage our digital product catalog and inventory forecasting systems, playing critical role in maximizing yield and revenue across WSJDN properties. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data, strong analytical and quantitative skills, and a solid understanding of how the digital ecosystem works.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage systems, workflows, product enhancements, relationships, and troubleshooting issues related to the technology platforms that support our digital business, including our OMS (Operative.One), our inventory forecasting and analytics tool, YieldEx, our DMP (Oracle), and other data providers.
  • Manage the digital product catalog which organizes all of the available products for sale, and update products based on OMS enhancements and sales needs
  • Monitor inventory forecasts across WSJDN’s portfolio of sites and adjust based on product changes, system integrations, and seasonality trends
  • Partner with Ad Operations, Billing and Sales Planning to improve/refine processes and procedures within sales order management system to reduce bottlenecks
  • Distribute regular reporting that provides a holistic view of revenue, inventory, and sell-through metrics for both direct and programmatic sales
  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions that help to provide efficiency within the Revenue Operations team, including the development of tools, processes, systems and reports
Requirements:
  • Solid understanding of digital systems including, or similar to: DFP, Operative.One (Op1), YieldEx, Omniture, Moat, Domo, SalesForce, BlueKai, Data Warehouse
  • Expert level Excel modeling experience preferred
  • Knowledge of BigQuery and SQL a plus
  • Strong capacity to work with internal partners to improve processes and develop best practices.
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, strategic and creative problem solving skills
  • Must be detail oriented and highly motivated
  • BA/BS College degree preferred
