Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) delivers shared technology services for the Firm supporting all business applications and end users. Organizational Description


Enterprise System Management is a product engineering and development group within the Application Infrastructure organization within the Enterprise Technology Services division. It is focused on tools, systems, data and services used by Firmwide Technology, including resource data (asset inventory etc), monitoring, application performance management, IT service management, automation, visualization and analytics tools.


The ESM Visualization Analytics is a dynamic, talented functional team spanning regions that are focused on developing solutions to help our ESM’s users gain insights through analytics, use data to drive results, and enabling the shift to DevOps.  This is an exciting time in our team’s evolution.  We are looking for an enthusiastic developer to join this global team with specific focus on development of tools to help drive efficiencies and organizational change through observability and automation.



Position Description:


We are looking for an enthusiastic innovator to develop advanced technical solutions at a time of transformation in the developer community. We need someone with vision who can assess challenges and opportunities while considering effective solutions. The candidate must be forward thinking and possess deep technical knowledge/aptitude to enable flexible problem solving. We are looking for a leader to foster creativity while emphasizing high-value, low-effort objectives. Having an eye for design and understanding of user experience are also essential to this role.


Expectations of the role are that the candidate can cover the end-to-end development lifecycle and build unit testing and documentation into all solutions. You must have strong technical and analytical skills, be able to drive multiple projects/releases to production with target ETAs that range from 1 week to 3 months, must be comfortable developing standalone solutions, as well as building within, or integrating with, Open Source Software or vendor products.   All the members of our team must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key responsibilities include:


- Design, develop, and implement technological applications

- Development work on user interfaces (Javascript/ReactJS/AngularJS)

- Development of infrastructure control systems, configuration stores & APIs

- Creation and maintenance of unit, system and integration and acceptance tests and implementing logging, monitoring and performance tests

- Collaboration with customers and partners to implement integrations with our tooling, drive migration and adoption through automation

- Last-line-of-escalation support for production systems, as required

Required skills:

- 5+ years of experience

- Proficiency in python,

- Experience javascript,

- Knowledge of regEx, and other web technologies like REST APIs

- Excellent UX, UI, and visualization skills 

- Good understanding of data storage & transport like Kafka, caching, timeseries, relational, NAS, etc

- Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and debugging a large codebase

- Outstanding all-round communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment


Nice to have:

- Knowledge of visualizations tools like like d3.js, Grafana, Angular

- Experience using CI/CD tools, such as Git and Jenkins

- A history of successful automations and innovative solutions

- Experience with what “good” looks like regarding Cloud technologies like Docker, K8, Azure, etc

- Proficiency with Java, Go, and .Net

- Disciplined testing practices and experience with tools like Jasmine, Karma, Jenkins, etc

- High-quality written knowledge transfer following disciplined documentation practices


Knowledge of French and English is required.
