The SAP Sales Specialist owns sales responsibility for selling VMware solution into the SAP market for enterprise and global customers and OEM partners. You are responsible for managing the sales forecasting process and building a brand around our SAP related solutions with our field and OEM partners. This position will be an overlay SAP sales specialist position that will need to coordinate and work closely with VMware’s core Field and OEM Partner organizations to achieve success and lead interactions with our existing customers. Deep knowledge of traditional SAP, SAP S/4 HANA, SAP HANA, hybrid cloud, IT sales cycles, and VMware’s partner ecosystem will all be essential for success in the role.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • You are accountable for achieving revenue targets for VMware solutions sold into the SAP market
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships with core Field and OEM sales leaders to ensure proper engagement with core teams and customers.
  • Assist core Field with customer alignment and help drive large strategic SAP deals.
  • You bring consultative sales experience, especially around the adoption of SAP with regards to the infrastructure space.
  • You will lead qualification for all the leads and sales opportunities for SAP related VMware solutions.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with OEM partners on joint go to market of SAP market related sales initiatives.
  • You are a highly trusted individual who maintains and expects high standards for self and team.
  • Able to work across multi-functions/multi-individuals to achieve desired results.
  • Will work closely with the Sales Leaders to ensure that Sales teams are providing sufficient support and on-track to contribute to achieving bookings and pipeline goals.
  • Will leverage the SAP alliances team and SE organization for desired results at top accounts.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of sales experience in the IT industry with specific knowledge and deployment of SAP
  • Demonstrated experience in deployment of SAP in the Hybrid Cloud
  • Demonstrated experience in deployment of SAP with OEM solutions
  • Experience virtualizing SAP and SAP HANA on VMware; understanding of VMware’s value proposition for SAP
  • Ability to articulate and evangelize the value of hybrid cloud IT solutions for the SAP market
  • Strong leadership and customer relationship skills.
  • Deal forecasting experience
