Job Summary

The Senior Revenue Analyst will be a key member in driving accurate financial reporting and producing financial analyses for Executive Management. The Senior Revenue Analyst will be a subject matter expert in the ASC 606  Revenue Recognition, revenue accounting, and operations. S/he will report to the Revenue Manager and work closely with multiple stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

Revenue Recognition

  • Interpret ASC 606 Revenue Recognition guidance and its application on existing contracts and future billing models
  • Educate and communicate effectively to Account Executives and Product Innovation Managers the impact of ASC 606 over contract quotes
  • Research and create technical accounting memos

Month-End Closing

  • Execute monthly billings and perform account reconciliations
  • Perform variance analysis to present to Controller and FP&A and explain the reasons behind the material changes in the revenue streams
  • Detail review monthly billings performed by other analysts
  • Resolve customer inquiries on monthly invoices

Audit Request

  • Manage audit requests from external auditors and assist in completing revenue footnotes
  • Compile and analyze state revenue for tax audits

Stakeholder Needs

  • Partner with Account Management to work on revenue process improvements
  • Participate in cross-functional projects with Product Innovation and FP&A to formulate annual budgeting
  • Engage in data visualization projects with Business Intelligence

Automation

  • Build financial reports on Tableau/OneStream
  • Assist in Revenue Redesign automation, explain accounting requirements to agile teams and product owners

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 years with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or 3 years with a Master's degree or equivalent experience
  • Solid understanding of P&L and GAAP
  • Ability to work independently as well as in team-oriented environment
  • High level of attention to details
  • Advanced Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Prior experience with Great Plains, Salesforce, Tableau, OneStream
  • Strong Powerpoint presentation skills
  • Prior work experience in Public Accounting and basic understanding of the Healthcare Technology industry
