    As a Cloud Consultant your tasks may vary day-to-day but primarily will focus on delivering projects to Mission’s customers in which you will architect and deploy dynamically scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, and reliable AWS infrastructure using industry-standard tools and processes.

    Because of security requirements for some of our customers, you must be located in the US and authorized to work in the United States.

    The Cloud Consultant is a full time position.

    General Duties
    • Using appropriate AWS services, design and deploy an application based on given customer and/or Senior Cloud Consultant’s requirements
    • Implement enterprise-wide scalable operations on AWS
    • Understanding core AWS security and auditing capabilities
    • Applying DevOps concepts including IAC using Terraform, configuration management using Chef, and Ansible, CI/CD using Jenkins, CodeDeploy, etc.
    • Making informed decisions about customer’s infrastructure and understanding the impact of design decisions.
    Specific Duties and Responsibilities
    • Perform migrations to AWS leveraging tools like CloudEndure and Amazon’s DMS
    • Build and deploy AWS infrastructure using Terraform and develop Terraform modules for future reuse
    • Work with Mission’s Solutions Architects to validate and provide feedback on project estimates and scope of work.
    • Leverage tools like Terraform and Jenkins to incrementally automate, modernize, and improve customers’ environments.
    • Develop CI/CD pipelines for various application stacks, including LAMP, Java, and Node.js
    • Implement centralized logging solutions such as ELK, SumoLogic, and CloudWatch Logs.
    • Improve the security posture of our customers by performing various assessments and analyses using tools like Prowler, CloudCheckr, and AlertLogic.
    • Identify areas for cost savings through AutoScaling, right-sizing, and elimination of waste within the customer’s AWS environments.
    Required Skills
    • Understanding of AWS security controls, network boundary controls, and related toolsets
    • AWS Associate-level (Architect and/or DevOps) Certification or equivalent AWS experience
    • Comprehension of the various IT infrastructures and application stacks
    • Knowledge of AWS’s Well-Architected Framework
    • Hands-on experience with Configuration Management and Configuration Orchestration tools, such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, etc.
    • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to project timelines
    • Ability to translate requirements into design documents and project plans
    • Hands-on experience with containerization, preferably on AWS
    • Knowledge of ITIL practices (Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management)
    • Solid understanding of DevOps Concepts like IaC, CI/CD, etc
    • Excellent oral/written communication and organization skills
    • Passion for technology and continuous education
