Data management of new and existing customers. Responsible for the timing and quality of conversions    for our largest, most important clients. Constantly increasing the functionally and quality of tools that can  replace manual data manipulation processes.

JOB SUMMARY:   The  Lead  Data  Services  Specialist  provides  comprehensive  data  services  to  MINDBODY's  top‐tier  customers and serves as a technical resource to less experienced Data Services team members. 


  • College degree or technical certificate related to database management or information  technology/systems management preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of  college degree or technical certificate.
  • 6‐8 years of data conversion experience or equivalent.
  • 3 years of customer service experience. 
  • 2 years work experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage enterprise level projects. 
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access. 
  • Ability to read and write English at a level appropriate to a professional workplace. Knowledge of  other languages is a plus, but not required. 
  • Advanced knowledge of database and internet based software. 
  • Strong understanding of internet browser and settings. 
  • Skilled with online chat tools and email. 
  • Understanding of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or another Relational Database Management System  (RDBMS) preferred. 
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) preferred. 
  • Experience with Microsoft.NET/C# and Microsoft Visual Studio preferred. 
  • Familiarity with NoSQL technologies preferred. 
  • Able to learn quickly when facing new problems; will experiment to find solutions or sources to  problems; enjoys challenges of unfamiliar tasks.

  • Independently manage multiple software conversions, including tracking deadlines and schedules  and communicating status with clients, other Data Services team members, and other teams within  MINDBODY
  • Independently complete enterprise software conversions, including data analysis, data mapping,  data conversion and follow‐up work. 
  • Independently complete enterprise and cross‐regional data work in consultation with customers and  other team members.
  • Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of MINDBODY's product to the remainder of the Data Services  team. 
  • Triage incoming data work and custom reporting requests, and work with the Manager(s), Data  Services to assign data work to other Data Services team members with the necessary skills and  availability to handle those requests.
  • Assist less experienced team members in successfully completing conversion projects which require  more advanced skills.
  • Effectively present information (oral and written) and respond to customer questions in one‐on‐one  and group settings.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of Department documentation, including documentation  of procedures, processes, tools, and competitor knowledge.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects, including management of deadlines and communication with  clients, other teams within MINDBODY, vendors, and other stakeholders. 
  • Proactively works to create and develop methods to share knowledge with individual team  members and department.
  • Utilize the best tools available to complete job tasks, including tools developed by other members of  the department.
  • All other duties as assigned.   


  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard. 
  • This position is mostly stationary and will be required to remain stationary for extended periods of  time.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, color vision, and the ability to  adjust focus.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.   


Duties are performed under limited supervision. Often responsible for planning and organizing their own  work, which may or may not be directly related to general business operations of the company or its  customers. Will receive training and guidance from manager as needed. Individual contributors may be  required  to  regularly  exercise  discretion  and  independent  judgment  with  respect  to  matters  of  significance depending on the nature of the position. No direct management responsibility.
