Chief of Staff– GlobalCustomer Success 

VMware is seeking a Chief of Staff for itsGlobalCustomerSuccessorganization. This individual will be responsible for the execution of strategic initiativesaimed atdeliveringan integrated and consistent customer experience that will maximize the value our customers can derive from our solutions to improve their business outcomes.

This individual will be charged with balancing a mix of strategic, programmatic, and planning responsibilities in support of theCSbusiness, working closely withoperations, sales, communicationsand various additionalVMware stakeholders. 

This is a critical role with high visibility within VMware, reporting directly to the SVPof Customer Success.The ideal candidate will be someone who has spent time in roles such as business operations, business strategy, business development, GTM or direct Sales. The selected individual will need to be persuasive, organized proactive, diplomatic, and have proven communication skills in a matrix organization. It is also essential that this individual can engage and work well across all cross-functional areas of VMware. 


  • Drive the CustomerSuccessplanning,prioritiesand transformation initiatives

  • Support theSVP, Customer Successin the day to day management of the business.

  • Manage the cadence of the SVP office and priorities, with tight interlocks with regional teams, operations, finance, HR, product, sales, marketing, and the extended VMware stakeholders.

  • Identify accelerators and friction points and propose initiative or activities accordingly. 

  • Work closely with the leadership team to enhance the customer experience and launchCustomer Successprograms for newofferings, upgrades, migrations, upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

  • Assess programs related to product market fit and strategic roadmap conversations for key and global customers.

  • Responsible for coordinating and driving the execution of SVP’s staff meetings, internal and external communications, and action items.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 15+years of industry experience

  • Experience in GTM Strategy, Planning and Execution.

  • Business operations in Cloud or Software Industries

  • Experience working directly with senior executive leadership teams

  • Excellent communication and organization skills

  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across all departments

  • Comfort in holding team members accountable for achieving their goals

  • Leads by example, creates a sense of urgency,energyand ownership

  • Ability to balance a variety of tasks, lead and direct the work of others

  • Possesses deep analytical skills and can process information quickly to drive

decisions in a timely manner

  • Strong sense of self awareness, can relate well, learnquicklyand adapt to changes while remaining calm under pressure
