The LogMeIn Web & Ecommerce team is seeking a Senior Manager, Content Strategy to own the vision for content and communications on a range of web properties, and inspire a team of writers and designers to think big. Ecommerce represents the front door for the majority of our customers, and a primary revenue generator for LogMeIn.  

We're looking for someone who is a visionary and a thought-leader, able to look at the big picture with content, communication, technology and business goals in mind. The ideal candidate is unafraid to step outside the box to deliver strategies and copy that make prospects want to try and buy our products, as well as write page content that performs well in search. They should also possess strong creative and planning skills that enable them to effectively communicate, negotiate and drive solutions on the web, and also affect positive change in our product experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspire and manage a team of writers and content managers across multiple work streams, establishing and maintaining a Content Management discipline and process
  • Work cross-functionally to plan and execute cohesive strategies across our products’ web ecosystems
  • Partner with Brand on establishing voice and tone and maintaining those standards across web 
  • Partner with Product Marketing and brand team on establishing key personas through customer research 
  • Manage content and copy development for large web projects 
  • Produce consistently clear, concise, engaging user-focused content and copy 
  • Scope work, define projects and lead collaborative team effort through project completion 
  • Develop and maintain content and copy guidelines, define content requirements, and develop content solutions 
  • Serve as principal editor for web copy across sites, and catalog website content for tracking and maintenance purposes 
  • Research competition and benchmark sites to help inform content and design and how to distinguish the web presence in the space 
  • Test and refine copy through methods like usertesting.com, in-person, and live A/B testing  
  • Ensure content is published and maintained in a timely, consistent manner and can be effectively translated for localization in LogMeIn’s global markets 
  • Measure and evaluate effectiveness of content in meeting business goals 
  • Ensure your team is documenting strategies with guidelines, and establish best practices and strategy principles 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • A portfolio that demonstrates a variety of projects and applications for your writing, and being able to speak to the strategy and execution of each 

  • Experience writing for web marketing and commerce for both B2C and B2B consumers, SaaS product experience is a plus 

  • Drive and passion to improve the quality and consistency of writing across a variety of products, and infusing brand tone and voice into every written line 

  • Ability to accept and write against feedback from stakeholders and colleagues in a rapid, iterative process, and effectively produce multiple highly polished work under tight timelines 

  • A variety of writing skills that run the gamut of marketing copy, technical features and benefits, SEO, and everything in between 

  • Strong interpersonal, written and presentation communication skills 

  • Willingness and ability to contribute to the collaborative environment at LogMeIn and all of LogMeIn’s product portfolio 

  • A track record of successful team building and management 

WHAT WE'LL NEED

  • 10+ years of experience writing and executing strategy and copy for the web 

  • 3+ years of staff management experience 

  • Experience in an agile scrum environment alongside designers, marketers, developers, and analysts 

  • A track record and portfolio of great strategic thinking and copywriting that evoke brand tone, resonate with users and their needs, as well as meet product requirements and business goals 

  • Experience with conversion testing and landing page/funnel optimization
