Our key customer managers drive sales growth, market access, and advocate development within priority accounts in order to achieve defined sales targets while meeting the needs of key customers through win-win partnerships.

This role provides autonomy to develop and execute customer and account business plans, within designated key accounts, to ensure that all appropriate patients have access to BMS medicines.


  • To gain an in-depth understanding of the local and regional funding and clinical processes with a view to identify and develop business relationships with decision makers and influencers involved in budget management, guideline setting, patient management and supply & distribution.
  • Gain knowledge about the specific disease areas and key customers, identify barriers and develop business plans to overcome them and maximise opportunities in line with brand strategy.
  • To ensure a favourable local access environment to maximise the potential for sales, and to drive sales growth to realise this potential.
  • Key customer managers will implement sales and access elements and ensure effective resource allocation to sales and access activities.
  • Monitor local health economies, collaborate with relevant matrix teams and provide market intelligence & customer insight to brand teams.

Skills Needed

  • Proven experience in key customer management, access and selling to NHS as well as to GPs and hospitals
  • Knowledge of the NHS, customer needs, relevant therapeutic areas, health economics and cost effectiveness data
  • Ability to consistently achieve targets, work in a matrix environment and contribute to the team’s growth.
