We are looking for an Experiential Marketing Manager (m/f) to join the Event and Digital Marketing Team as part of the Central Marketing Organization (CMO).

 

The Central Marketing Organization (CMO) leads integrated marketing excellence in planning and execution across commercial solution areas, consumer business, segments including SMB (Small and mid-sized businesses) and Partner and Marketing engines to drive business outcomes for the Area. With integrated marketing excellence, events & digital marketing expertise and data-driven insights, CMO delivers quality customer and partner experiences at scale to maximize marketing impact across our connected customer journeys in alignment with global strategies and local business priorities.

 

The Event & Digital Marketing Team is our Excellence Center for digital and live events as part of the worldwide Microsoft Commercial Event Framework. It is responsible for developing, supporting, and executing more than 500 events per year, including the overall experience at the Microsoft Germany Headquarter. Together with our Social Command Center, we drive Social Thought Leadership and Executional Excellence for Microsoft.

Responsibilities

The Experiential Marketing Manager (m/f) we are looking for: 

 

  • is the person on the team always up to date when it comes to new technologies for digital experiences.
  • Based on our platforms, drafts concepts for optimal delivery of events and assumes responsibility for the implementation of those events in close collaboration with our virtual team.
  • Advises digital events regarding our Commercial Event Framework.
  • Understands current and emerging technology trends, cultural changes, and product roadmaps to continuously position the Microsoft Germany Headquarter as a place of innovation through constant development of fresh content strategies to drive our global and local Big Bets.
  • Creates, presents, and develops workshops on the New World of Work, technology and cultural scenario sessions for customers and partners with a focus on developing virtual experiences.
  • Develops a communication concept that optimally shares our digital experiences in-house.

As part of the CMO team, this role deeply understands and embraces Microsoft’s marketing principles and brand stewardship, Accessibility standards compliance and Privacy/GDPR, while contributing to driving marketing operations efficiency, marketing impact and scale.

 

The Impact you are making:

 

Design and Support Digital Event Experiences: (50%)
Build a consistent programmatic and platform approach for digital events. Improve the effectiveness of digital event experiences to earn and maintain the attention of attendees by skilling marketers.

 

Further Development of the Experience Strategy for the German Headquarter: (40%)
Develop and manage the experience of our Microsoft Germany Headquarter that supports Area business priorities to optimize the customer experience and drive adoption and usage of Modern Workplace Solutions.

Drive and communicate success metrics, feedback loops and reporting to ensure that brand experiences are landing with customers and supporting advocacy in line with sales velocity.

 

Communication and Networking: (10%)

Build and maintain a deep Microsoft-wide network creating cross-departmental synergies to best deliver valuable horizontal and industry-specific content to our top enterprise customers.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of proven marketing experience, preferably in technology marketing, with strong digital marketing background.
  • Curious personality, someone who loves to work across departments to achieve mutual success, as well as to strategically pursue your own goals in order to ultimately inspire customers, partners and employees alike for Microsoft's technologies, products, services and culture.
  • Storyteller with experience in the technology industry, open to a variety of tasks and enthusiastic about bringing exciting innovations and event projects to life in ever changing ways.
  • Deep understanding of technology and different digital platforms in combination with strong project management skills.
  • Able to develop, create and publish coherent customer stories across multiple channels and formats, with a sense for innovation as well as for people, and can build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, partners and customers alike.
  • Knowledgeable of the Microsoft ecosystem and programs
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent work experience required. MBA degree preferred but not required.
  • Fluent in written and spoken German
