VMware is looking for a Compliance Program Analyst to join the Compliance Program Management Office (PMO) responsible for VMware’s global technology compliance program management & governance. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for enabling business intelligence and ensuring accurate compliance project data is captured across all the different compliance technology scopes and ensure accurate reporting is achieved to all levels of management.  You will also provide support to the Compliance PMO team to ensure successful completion of Compliance PMO objectives.  The job requires information security & business analytics knowledge to rapidly make a direct contribution in helping us achieve our goals.

What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or problem you will be responsible for?

We need someone who can work with our internal Compliance teams to ensure accurate tracking of compliance project information within project management tools. Using your information security and compliance knowledge, y will use data analytics tools to provide business intelligence reporting to management to help drive informed decision making.


  • Work and follow up with internal compliance teams to ensure project reporting is accurate and up to date across a large amount of simultaneous compliance projects across VMware
  • Analyze data to establish trends and use specialized software provided for data mining and link analysis
  • Assist Compliance Management teams with insights, dashboards, and ad-hoc analytics
  • Drive operating cadence for meetings and follow-ups, and clearly communicate objectives, deadlines and status to all stakeholders.
  • Run projects and drive initiatives as needed to support Compliance PMO objectives

Required Skills: 

  • 3-5  years of compliance, security or governance experience preferably in a cloud services or technology focused environment
  • Strong Highly self-motivated and directed professional with keen attention to detail & data validation
  • Strong Business and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines is essential
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to effectively work with all stakeholders; Seek and listen to understand
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to influence without authority; partner with other functions 
  • Attention to detail, ability to organize work, and follow-up skills are critical to the successful performance of position responsibilities
  • Microsoft Sharepoint and PowerBI administration experience
  • High Efficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity and understanding of broad range or IT hardware and software products, VMware products, cloud computing, or hosting services
  • Project Management experience
