RI&S is seeking a Systems Engineer with experience developing algorithms for Distributed Battle Management and Command and Control (BMC2), simulation and modeling of complex operational scenarios, and developing convolutional neural networks for automatic target recognition (ATR) in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated engineering professional with a passion for advanced technology development in the field of artificial intelligence. The candidate must have strong leadership skills focused on building a collaborative team culture based on trust and open communication
10+ years demonstrated engineering leadership experience with proven track record.
Experience conducting critical design reviews, test readiness reviews, and test review boards
Skilled in proposal preparation, cost and schedule estimation and technical documentation related to contract deliverable items
Solid understanding of test methodologies, system architectures, and troubleshooting
Knowledgeable of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) methodology
Experience with maintaining a SE VM environment and understanding of SW development and minimal coding proficiency.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team
Self-starter with ability to troubleshoot and work though challenging tasks.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
Active Top Secret Clearance
U. S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
Solid understanding of test methodologies, system architectures, and troubleshooting.
Proposal support experience including writing Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
Experience in supporting major competitive government proposals
Experience with creating and maintaining a technical baseline
Experience in programming with MATLAB/Simulink
Systems Engineering experience on a large government software development contract
Experience in SE process development and deployment
Experience with complex satellite ground systems, previous deployment of developed systems to ground station operations.
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Sciences, Math, or related STEM discipline
Masters degree in Engineering, Sciences, Math, or related STEM discipline
