Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Azure Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. CSCP’s vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Capacity Differentiated at Scale. Our mission is to deliver capacity for all cloud services predictability through intelligent systems driven by continuous learning and a world class Supply Chain Organization. The CSCP Organization is responsible for Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Data Center Capacity Management, Capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. 

To accelerate the global growth, CSCP is expanding its footprint in the India Development Center and as the India Site Leader, this executive will lead the team responsible for enabling CSCP India to work as an extension of the Redmond team. 

  • The site leader will be an advocate for the CSCP organization in partnership with the C+AI organization in India
  • They will anchor the IDC CSCP Team and focus on organization health of current investments and influence future investment strategies

The leader will play a key role in setting the vision for India CoE, define strategy with roadmap and represent that with the C+AI India Leadership team (ILT) to enable CSCP’s ambitions

Responsibilities

Organization: Directly manage all CSCP India FTEs and be point of contact for local vendor teams

  • Hire and develop a high performing team
  • Set vision for India location, integrate with partner teams, and engage stakeholders
  • Enable a strong partnership with the global CSCP team
  • Build a service delivery model for CSCP India CoE for clear accountability and results delivery across all functions.
  • Clearly define OKRs to be owned by India team in partnership with managers
  • Work as an extension of the Redmond leadership team communicating strategic priorities
  • Facilitate dialog on opportunities for additional leverage of India team
  • Influence the location strategy for CSCP
  • Optimize current investments and ensure that robust guiding principles for incremental investments

People / Community: Enable an effective and inclusive CSCP org structure where the LT can model the Microsoft values, and bring Leadership Principles to life

  • Ability to cover all core functions of CSCP from Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Capacity & Software Dev in India CoE
  • Facilitate synergies and collaboration between CSCP team and extended C+AI team and build a cohesive and inspiring internal brand
  • Facilitate learning events, conferences, seminars across all teams in order to build a learning culture
  • Ensure CSCP receives the necessary support and resources to enable its growth
  • Represent MSFT, CSCP and IDC in external industry forums and campuses to build a powerful external brand

“One India”: Represent CSCP India at the India Leadership Team (ILT) forum

  • Partner with India leaders from IDC, GD, CSS, GSMO teams to enable Microsoft’s ambitions in the subsidiary
  • Represent CSCP India on the C+AI IDC Leadership Team and actively participate in the growth and development of the Center as a whole
Qualifications

Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience enabling and leading a COE
  • Proven capability to create a customer centric large organization
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and leadership with a track history operating at senior executive level
  • Cross functional end-to-end supply chain experience: plan, source, make, deliver, data center capacity management, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning / disposition of data center assets worldwide

Qualifications

  • 15-20 years of business experience, including significant, senior-level leadership roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or engineering, MBA preferred
  • People management experience of 10+ years with demonstrated cross-group leadership
  • Prior experience leading transformative initiatives for world class companies
  • Experienced manager and with strong record of accomplishment on leading teams successfully
  • Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively with all levels of management
  • Must be extremely collaborative and comfortable dealing with ambiguity, influencing across multiple complex organizations, creating effective internal business partnerships
  • Outstanding written & verbal communication skills and experience presenting to executives
  • Advanced cross team coordination and collaboration
  • Comfortable with some international travel

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check every two years.
