Microsoft Research Asia, Microsoft’s fundamental research arm in the Asia Pacific region, was founded in 1998 in Beijing. We are looking for experienced researcher leaders to further improve the impact of Microsoft Research Asia in the research community. Candidates with the following qualifications are preferred:


  • Ph.D. degree in computer science, mathematics, or related area
  • 5+ years of working experiences in academia and 5+ years of experiences in industry
  • Experiences of working in both China and overseas experience
  • Experiences of managing sizable teams and supervising students/young talents
  • Strong expertise in machine learning, especially graph-based learning, reinforcement learning, stochastic process, and causal learning
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Teamwork spirit
