The Graphic Designer/Motion Designer is an integral member of the Commvault Global Brand and Creative Services Department which is primarily responsible for supporting demand generation for the Marketing departments with animated and static design. This role is responsible for the design of motion and static graphics projects; and will consult directly with the Creative Project Lead and stakeholders from project inception to finish. The candidate is also responsible for the execution of animated graphics for post-production video across various platforms. 

The candidate will create and execute both new and templated materials within brand guidelines. Including but not limited to campaign collateral, marketing materials, e blasts, invites, presentations, presentation graphics, proposals, ads, social media creative, infographics, photo and illustration curation.

Applicant must be a creative problem solver with strong conceptual skills, strong video production and editing skills (motion design, After Effects etc.) and obsessive attention to detail. Ideal candidate is high-energy, hands-on and thrives in a fluid, agile environment, with a passion for learning and innovating.

Projects include:

  • Adding bumpers, title cards, and lower thirds to existing videos
  • Exporting snips of videos for use in social
  • Animated openings and logos
  • Animated and static social graphics and YouTube thumbnails
  • Support virtual events with graphics and presentations
  • Develop and edit motion and static graphics for sales & marketing collateral, business presentations, events, advertisements, internal communications, brand assets, and enablement
  • Work with the design team to help with PPT slide support, InDesign layout, infographics, and diagram overflow

Skills & Technology:

  • Advanced editing and animation skills with a solid understanding of video formats and compression techniques
  • Creative and technical expertise with Adobe After Effects, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Premiere Pro, and other associated tools
  • High typographic standards and practices with a strong design sense for kinetic text graphics that perform well in social
  • Extensive experience with email, social media, and web design -- including responsive design -- with strong understanding of online communications and technologies
  • Understanding of HTML/CSS, Plus if expert
  • Plus: Experience with a variety of third-party motion graphics plug-ins - Mocha, Trapcode Suite, DUIK, etc.  
  • Plus: Project management software experience. Workfront. This role will require the ability to work independently and also take initiative, manage multiple projects at once and be able to prioritize tasks and requests.

  • Be able to demonstrate sophisticated aesthetics, technical skills, and knowledge of current design trends, as well as the desire to innovate

Have two-five years of experience in a motion design role in graphic design & motion graphics at an agency or within a corporate creative/marketing department
