Primer is in search of an HR Generalist to help us lead through high growth. You will report to the SVP of People, and play a leading role designing and implementing our people strategy. You will maintain a high‐level perspective of the company, but also be hands‐on operationally.

You are a curious, collaborative, driven individual with a passion for helping people achieve their fullest potential. You are fluent in organizational development, employee relations, benefits, compensation, workforce management, diversity and inclusion, and have a consistent track record of building employee programs that support a high‐performance culture.

This is an opportunity to be a founding member of our People Operations team as we design and nurture Primer’s workforce culture. There is room to apply best practices, but also innovate, and create a legacy as Primer grows.

Primer is an artificial intelligence company that organizes and analyzes text‐based data sources and generates analyst‐grade natural language summaries for a variety of industries. Our objective is to help our customers understand the world around them ‐‐ whether it is emerging geopolitical events, development of a product line or area of research, or monitoring a portfolio of companies’ financial performances.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, administers, and executes human resource programs including compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
  • Oversees new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and leadership.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Administers our HR systems - Zenefits, Lattice, Greenhouse
  • Builds external partnerships to support training, immigration, and employment law
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws as well as internal policies

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of People Operations / HR role
  • HR certification is a plus
  • A positive mindset, always focused on an amazing employee experience
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable HR programs
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Maintain a fun, productive culture where employees feel a sense of belonging
  • Manage employer sponsored immigration cases for employees
  • Well versed in current HR regulations and compliance
  • Proven organization development experience
  • Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment of constant change
