Responsibilities

  • Manage large/complex hardware and systems software projects which will include working with external design and manufacturing partners.  
  • Coordinate hardware and software schedules associated with the ideation, design, development and launch of new platforms
  • Create and maintain integrated project schedule and execution plan with all stakeholders
  • Make constant assessment of feature pipeline, work done and work quality to support decision making on release delivery schedule
  • Anticipate roadblocks, escalate issues and drive resolution across a cross-functional team.
  • Bring a data driven approach to project management
  • Work with customers and VMware engineering, field personnel, product management, operations and support teams. Accountable for the Project completion within designated timelines.
  • Regularly prepare materials and present project status to customers and VMware SD-WAN executive teams

Requirements

  • Prior experience and solid understanding of HW manufacturing processes, production and distribution logistics, and supply chain management
  • Must have interacted with external partners and demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively
  • Must be able to pull and manipulate data from Engineering tools to showcase progress, identify issues and help resolve them to ensure quality and timely releases 
  • Demonstrated clear leadership skills and strong experience working with large project teams
  • Ability to communicate to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Prior software or hardware development, hardware certification programs and release management experience
  • BS in Engineering with approximately 6-10  years related experience
