The division of Global Product Supply at Bristol-Myers Squibb is seeking a highly motivated scientist to join our Sterile Products Development group. The successful applicant will be primarily responsible for the technical and strategic advancement of biologic drug candidates in support of formulation and process optimization throughout all stages of clinical and commercial drug product development.

This individual should have demonstrated detailed fundamental knowledge of protein separation and characterization including chemical stability, physical stability and interactions with common excipients. Hands-on experience with analytical and biophysical characterization techniques for monitoring and investigating protein property and stability under physiologically or pharmaceutically relevant conditions is also required. Additional knowledge of chemical biology concepts, gene therapy and viral vector characterization is also highly desirable.

The successful candidate must have a passion for problem solving and a keen sense of innovation, along with excellent interpersonal communication skills and enthusiasm for working with multidisciplinary teams for developing and advancing biologic drug products.  This requires rigorous design and execution of experiments, promoting novel applications and advancements of technologies, in addition to high standards of laboratory safety, documentation, and interpretation and presentation of scientific results, both independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have an advanced degree in chemistry, biochemistry, engineering or related field, with 0-3 years of relevant industrial or postdoctoral experience required with a PhD degree, or a minimum of 5 years of experience with a M.S. degree.

The successful candidate must have demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with various protein separation (chromatographic and electrophoretic) techniques. Experience or working knowledge of gene therapy and viral vector analysis, characterization of lipid nano particles, and mass spectroscopy technique is a plus.

Around the world, we are passionate about making an impact on the lives of patients with serious diseases. Empowered to apply our individual talents and diverse perspectives in an inclusive culture, our shared values of passion, innovation, urgency, accountability, inclusion and integrity bring out the highest potential of each of our colleagues.
