Job Description:
We are seeking a Director of Accounting to partner with the VP of Accounting and Corporate Controller to build and lead a world-class accounting and finance team through the next phase of our growth journey. This person will oversee our revenue, financial reporting and accounts receivable functions to ensure a timely and accurate close. This person will also partner with other teams in the department to ensure accounting policies are adopted and applied appropriately. This person will manage special projects related to significant and unusual transactions, including acquisitions.

What you’ll own:
Review the monthly, quarterly and annual internal and external financial reporting packages
Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP
Evaluate accounting issues related to non-routine and complex transactions, conducting research to identify applicable accounting guidance and preparing position papers documenting issues, facts and conclusions
Manage external audits and compliance with debt covenants
Project manage accounting and integration efforts in acquisitions
Perform accounting due diligence for M&A targets
Review revenue contracts to ensure appropriate application of ASC 606
Review changes in the order to cash process to ensure systems are operating effectively to capture proper revenue recognition
Establish and maintain an effective control environment, both financial and operational
As necessary, assist in or lead special projects
Conduct ad hoc financial/operational analysis as required
Experience you’ll need:
CPA required
5-7 years of accounting experience; 4-5 years Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
Prior successful management experience preferred
Strong technical knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP
Experience with multi-national companies
NetSuite experience preferred
Financial reporting experience
Experience with acquisition accounting preferred
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Attention to detail and good time management skills
