  • As the Senior New Product Introduction (NPI) Program Manager, you will be responsible for driving programs for large product launches and initiatives and the end-to-end management of Okta’s product lifecycle readiness process, working with cross-functional teams and executives from all parts of the organization. In this role, you will drive and execute the organization’s most strategic product launches, program manage the cross-functional teams during the development and release phases of the process, help navigate complex dependencies and timelines, escalate program risks to leadership and mitigate accordingly, and assist in prioritization of projects and deliverables to align with overall business strategy. You will also be responsible for regularly reporting on the status of all projects and upcoming launches to our executive leadership.

    The ideal candidate is someone with a strong program and project management background, strong emotional intelligence, and high conflict resolution skills, with experience managing across the various functions of a software, SaaS, and/or technology growth company. Working and liaising with groups such as engineering, product management, product marketing, sales strategy, presales, professional services, and customer support - just to name a few - along with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills are necessary to be successful in this role.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Drive product lifecycle readiness launch planning and execution across all cross-functional teams.
    • Develop detailed launch plan and schedule.
    • Define deliverables and due dates, and diligently track all key milestones.
    • Facilitate weekly cross-functional launch meetings, assign action items to relevant stakeholders, and follow up with owners to drive to completion.
    • Proactively identify, communicate, and track risks and mitigations, including contingency plans where necessary.
    • Create presentations and dashboards that clearly articulate launch status and allow leadership to make effective decisions.
    • Drive post-launch retrospectives to enable process improvements for future product launches.
    • Simultaneously manage multiple product launches in different stages across various release/launch dates.
    • Manage and improve the product lifecycle readiness governance process.
    • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ensure visibility of work and its status in our systems of record.
    • Manage stakeholders, ensuring timely and qualitative communication.

    Who You Are:

    • Bachelor's degree required, MBA a plus. 
    • 10+ years' experience in technology industry in direct, hands-on experience in program management. 
    • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills, confident communicator with the ability to present complex issues and solutions in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences, including C-level executives.
    • A proven track record as a decisive, action-oriented individual, who has led cross-functional global teams to define and achieve high value objectives.
    • Experience with new product introduction (NPI), SaaS product launches, and/or go-to-market strategy development preferred.
    • Successful track record managing projects, and communicating with, technical and non-technical stakeholders and senior executives.
    • Outstanding communication, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Experience with Saas applications are a plus.
    • Must be able to thrive in a very fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
    • Proven problem solving experience and in providing business insights and recommendations from data sets, both individually or in a group setting.
    • Proven ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple concurrent projects to success.
    • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to flex communication style to different audiences.
    • Thrives in ambiguity and in driving influence and clarity in highly matrixed organizations.
    • Experience working with remote/distributed teams.
