    Position Overview

    Reporting to the Vice President of AEC Strategy, the successful candidate will be a motivated and adaptable leader that will help our senior management team to build a healthy organization and design/optimize operational models and cross-organizational processes that enable the organization to achieve its objectives.  The role requires a highly resourceful individual with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, and organizational skills. S/he will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to clear goals and measurable outcomes, and an ability to learn quickly and work well in teams.


    • Plan and lead the annual strategic planning process & quarterly business reviews. Lead the organization in participation of Autodesk’s annual strategic development process & quarterly business reviews.  This includes development of timelines and process for the organization, supporting teams to completion of associated deliverables, and working collaboratively with the team to prepare CEO staff level presentations
    • Plan and facilitate executive meetings/workshops with the rest of the organization (Product, sales, marketing). This can include formulating the topics to cover, building and advising agendas, guiding the discussion, bringing together notes and action items, and following up as appropriate
    • Designing and guiding outcome oriented strategic and tactical team meetings.  This could include team building sessions, organizational reviews, strategy discussions, and other topics for team meetings.  Ability to frame problems and find structures/models that help people better understand the problem and trade-offs required
    • Lead special projects and programs. This includes key strategic initiatives that impact the overall success of the company as well as team culture initiatives to help support a healthy organization.  Some projects will span beyond the scope of the group, requiring cross-company collaboration
    • Track and communicate organization OKRs and Big Rocks.  Work in partnership with strategy GTM/Analytics and the Business Strategy and Marketing organization to track yearly OKRs and Big Rocks for leadership quarterly reviews
    • Act as a ‘trusted counsel’ to the executive and senior leaders.  Provide insight and analysis on the organization’s operations, key decisions and other business areas as well as represent the executive in certain meetings he/she is unable to attend. Partner closely with other functions relevant to the team, including Finance, HR, Product Management, Marketing and Sales
    • Manage communications.  These can be internal team communications as well as communications out to the wider Autodesk organization
    • Support development of presentation content.  This can include presentations for executive meetings, customer meetings and other high value events
    • Champion a spirit of collaboration and open communications.  Work across teams to advance organizational goals and engender trust, including work with other Chief’s of Staff across the company, sharing and developing best practices

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 12 + years of demonstrated success leading large, complex projects and / or programs across teams or organizations, often working on multiple projects at the same time
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher. MBA may be an advantage, but not mandatory
    • Solid business acumen, critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills
    • Versatile self-starter with a team-oriented work style. Ability to build credibility and relationships quickly across functions and levels
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate complex concepts concisely, clearly and effectively across multiple levels including executive leadership team, peers, managers and junior staff
    • Team organizer, builder, and motivator with exceptional influencing skills who can exercise judgment related to prioritization and risk management
    • Highest level of integrity and management of confidential information
    • A good sounding board for others, with low ego and ability to anticipate the needs of a busy executive
