Facebook is seeking a technically sophisticated and detail-oriented Business Planning & Operations Analytics Lead who can partner effectively with leadership across our Global Business Group organization focusing on the Global Gaming advertising market. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Facebook's mission, have a background in a technical or quantitative field, have experience problem-solving using large data sets, and can communicate strategic recommendations effectively with leadership. Integrate, compile, analyze, and evaluate data on sales performance metrics. Delivering on this will require leveraging SQL to source data and using tools such as Tableau and Excel in order to analyze market, advertiser, product and business performance.

In this role you will also be responsible for automating and improving processes for the Global Gaming Business Planning & Operations team, ensuring alignment with global teams. You will work cross-functionally with several teams at Facebook with the objective of enabling leadership to make effective, analytically driven, and strategic operating decisions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Facebook, view the world through an analytical lens, be data driven, be intellectually curious, learn quickly, and be able to move fast while keeping focused on high-impact projects.

  • Conduct insightful deep dive analysis using internal and external data (e.g. revenue, product, market, industry, trends) to derive insights that will drive strategic business decisions
  • Run rhythm of the business reporting and monitoring of key performance metrics
  • Build prototypes of analytical tools to help scale the procurement of insights
  • Build scalable reports and dashboards in support of business needs, for region or in partnership with global areas
  • Drive operational excellence that supports cross functional partners, and ensure the smooth running of weekly, monthly and quarterly business rhythms
  • Focus on process and continuous improvement of core projects through automation and process enhancement
  • Help establish short and long-term goals that will advance the organization’s productivity through analytics
  • Be the data point of contact for Global Gaming's sales organization

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or a related field)
  • 6+ years of work experience in Sales Finance, Sales Analytics, Sales Operations, and/or Strategy consulting,
  • Or 5+ years experience with an MBA/Master’s degree.
  • 2+ years of SQL experience (create, maintain, and improve data sets and reporting)
  • Demonstrated problem solving experience with experience providing business insights and recommendations to leadership from data sets
  • Must be knowledgeable in computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Tableau and SQL databases. Moderate to advanced Tableau knowledge. Advanced spreadsheet and presentation software skills.
  • Experience extracting data from large/complex databases, developing data visualizations and building scalable reporting tools.
  • Stakeholder management experience - including managing multiple partners simultaneously
