As a Senior Engineer within Enterprise Architecture, you will be instrumental in providing world-class tools, training, and support to our community of developers. You will work 1:1 with engineers and architects, as a designated expert, to review API designs for REST fundamentals and efficacy. You will work with teams to overcome technical obstacles, answering questions and proposing solutions on-the-fly. You will find the work exciting, fun, and challenging.
Experience developing RESTful APIs and an understanding of design for usability, scalability and performance
Technical expert and self-starter in ideation, design and learning
Strong communicator with both technical and non-technical peers
Proven success in, and genuine enthusiasm for, working directly with technical teams to empower them through mentorship and training
Willingness to be hands-on with technical teams, and undergo a technical screening by the Enterprise Architecture team as part of the interview process
You stay on top of tech trends and best practices by experimenting with and learning new technologies, and participating in community of practice groups
Increase enterprise velocity by conducting API design & code reviews with platform teams across the company
Enable thousands of developers through the creation of RESTful API development training and best-in-class tooling
Help with implementation of technological strategy across multiple, complex lines of business
A successful first 12 months looks like:
Pioneer model for Enterprise Architecture team to work with platform teams to most effectively conduct API design reviews without impeding the development lifecycle
Establish RESTful API development training program for enterprise-wide platform teams
Leading API design reviews with 3+ platform teams, which are resulting in expedited design approval by the API Council. Impact of your involvement is backed by quantifiable feedback from both the team publishing the API and its consumers
Design, develop, and gain adoption for API development toolsets that allow developers to focus on satisfying customers, not technical plumbing
