The WW Business Applications Solution Area team is looking for a creative communication professional with high energy, passion, and attention to detail to be a senior member of the Business Applications Solution Area team.

As the Executive Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing all our executive-level communications (the plans, the content and execution). You will work closely with the CVP leading the business.  In addition, you will also be responsible for developing Microsoft culture within the organization to drive for increased job satisfaction and strong business results.

This role, the Senior Executive Communications Lead, is accountable for the following commitments:

  • Be the voice of Business Applications executives. Coordinate and manage the development of high-quality content (presentations, emails and more) that bring to life our story, products and programs.
  • Build and lead the executive engagement function within the organization
  • Demonstrate agile writing capability. Be able to adjust messaging effectively for different business needs and audiences.
  • Build and manage a communications plan and editorial calendar for executive comms and engagements. Work with other comms and narrative executives across Microsoft to ensure content is fresh and being communicated at the right time, across the right channel, to the right audiences.
  • Work across Microsoft to evangelize our learning narrative.  Coach, mentor and lead up and down the organization to deliver our message in a consistent voice.
  • World class skills in synthesizing the complex and getting the right information onto a slide and into the speaking notes for our executives.
  • Detail oriented. Have a high quality/accuracy bar and proofreading skills.
  • 7-10 years of marketing communicationss experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in an executive communications/storytelling role
  • Direct experience in handling executive communications within a corporate setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to build internal and external relationships up to the C-Level.
  • Excellent project management skills; demonstration of impeccably managing multiple projects.
  • Understanding of how to build a public, social profile
  • Ability to build cultural programs to build morale and team engagement
  • Ability to find solutions and a path forward even in ambiguous situations.
  • Self-starter able to create meaningful ways to measure effectiveness of the work.
  • Experience in learner-focused design and learning technologies is a plus.
  • Location: Strong preference for Redmond, WA
