This role encompasses that of a Software Section Manager and Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) role. As a Section Manager, you will perform functional ownership tasks and be actively engaged in the technical and/or programmatic aspects of programs within Raytheon Intelligence & Space. Section managers are responsible for providing engineering stakeholder to ensure that cost, schedule and technical performance comply with program needs and the Raytheon Intelligence & Space processes. Engineering stakeholder tasks include but not are not limited to such activities as ensuring adequate resources (personnel and assets) are dedicated to programs, providing technical guidance, developing career paths, facilitating alignment with engineering command media, guiding productivity improvement and risk mitigation initiatives, and perform other functional duties in support of the normal operations and providing cost estimates for proposal activities including basis of estimates.
The Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) has responsibilities for Earned Value, Cost Accounts, Scheduling, and collaboration amongst stakeholders. Previous proposal work would be highly preferable. The IPTL must also be able to lead a small (with potential to grow) software team by closely tracking and managing software deliverables and artifacts. Managing and reporting software program execution metrics and managing the agile software development process in coordination with the Software Technical Director is key. Improving code quality by participating in software integration and test events and by performing code reviews and being able to dive into difficult problems and successfully deliver results on schedule along with other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 10+ years of experience programming C/C++ on a Linux platform • Technical leadership experience • Understanding of software development best practices and processes • Agile software development experience • Experience with design, code, integration, and test of software for large systems • Knowledge of Earn Value Management System (EVMS) processes • Knowledge of Cost Account Management (CAM) duties • Experience generating material for and presenting to Functional Management and Program Management • Current and Active DoD SECRET or higher clearance required from day one of employment • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
• Earned Value certified • Previous functional management experience • Radar domain knowledge • Experience working closely with a Systems Engineering organization to enable coordination of requirements testing and implementation of algorithms using Matlab • Familiarity with the following tools : Jira, Jenkins, DOORS • Expertise writing software technical documents such as: Software Requirements Specifications, Software Test Descriptions and Software Test Reports • Experience presenting to and interfacing with both internal and external customers. • Knowledge of MS Office or other presentation tools
Required Education: Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math and/or Science and/or STEM degree from an accredited university.
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
