About the team: 
The Microsoft Global Media Team is responsible for planning, activating and fiscally managing all media spend across Microsoft.  The team works across a broad group internal Microsoft product and business groups, driving business impact by leading the development of innovative and world-class media strategies designed to meet our stakeholders’ unique business goals. The team’s responsibilities extend to driving market intelligence and contributing to Microsoft’s media innovation across media channels and ad tech.

We are seeking a passionate media professional to join our team and manage the planning, execution, and operations of Microsoft’s agility campaigns (paid media desk).   • Help internal Microsoft stakeholders achieve their business goals by leading the development of innovative media strategies and plans, working with our agency to ensure accurate media execution and optimization, and partner with analytics leads to deliver campaign reporting and insights.  
  • Educate and guide stakeholders through the media requirements and campaign process, ensuring their business goals and media expectations are properly aligned. 
  • Build strong relationships with internal Microsoft marketing teams, engineering teams, and product teams to learn and understand their business objectives and campaign goals.
  • Apply your knowledge of paid media channels like Display, Paid Social, SEM, Out of Home, Broadcast, and Print to recommend efficient media mix plans that achieve campaign goals.
  • Drive efficiency by developing or improving media operations and standards for Microsoft’s agility campaign (paid media desk). 
  • Ensure fiscal compliance by partnering closely with internal and agency finance and media partners to ensure all campaigns stay within budget parameters and comply with finance requirements.
  • Ensure accurate campaign creative delivery, tagging, naming conventions, and brand safety protocols by coordinating closely with stakeholders, ad operations, and agency teams. 

Required Qualifications 

  • 5 or more years of marketing experience, preferably in a technology industry
  • At least 3 years of marketing experience specifically in media, agency or client-side.
  • Experience developing and executing media plans across digital and traditional media channels including: Display, Paid Social, SEM, Out of Home, Broadcast and Print 

Helpful Experience: 

  • Have a growth mindset, be curious, and embrace diverse perspectives as a way to learn
  • College BA/BS or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience working in direct response marketing 
  • Proven competency working across diverse teams with varied business goals
  • Able to work across a highly matrixed organization that includes internal and external stakeholders and partners
  • Able to deal with ambiguity and continued change
  • Strong communication skills. This position is a liaison to many teams and is responsible for media storytelling
  • A believes that success a shared accountability across the whole team
  • Experience using Microsoft technology and devices
  • Ability to be agile and work in a dynamic environment
