Showcasing excellence and innovation at every stage, Product Management is responsible for the cross-functional management of products or solutions through their entire lifecycle. Using a wealth of technical and industry experience, we work across functional areas to implement our products or solutions. We undertake thorough analysis of the markets to ensure we maximize profitability and adjust our product strategies to respond to competition. Our role also involves acting as subject matter experts for internal and external product events or partner meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages overall global product & solutions portfolio cradle-to-grave from concept to end of lifeTracks the financial performance of each product line and take the appropriate corrective actions
  • Performs competitive analysis of products owned, issue and implement recommendationsDevelops a deep understanding of the needs of target customers  involved in various stages of implementing the server, storage, and networking building blocks needed to deliver their solutions, translate that understanding into a business plan, and execute on the delivery of that business plan through a product
  • Follows an Offer Lifecycle Process in product managing products and solutions and lead (D) the product definitionFormulates concept charters that clearly identify the basis for competitive differentiation, business case (inclusive of both investment and revenue), and the necessary competitive and intra-line positioning
  • Ensures that product/solution features and specifications reflect customer requirements
  • Prioritizes features and specifications, applying budget, timeline and other constraints
  • Works across all functional areas, gathering inputs, updating product plans and roadmaps, and communicating the impact of product/solution decisions to all stakeholders.
  • Works with Product Marketing to build product/ solutions marketing and communication plans
  • Supports product/solution launch and provide sustaining efforts to enable quoting, validation, pricing, order entry, and fulfillment of products/solutions via internal sales toolWorks with demand and supply teams to ensure accurate forecasting and lead-time estimating
  • Manages product/solutions launches to ensure sales force readiness and optimize P&L; impact of product transitions
  • Understand Off-the-shelf roadmaps to derive competitive and product availability POV

Essential Requirements

  • Requires 8-12+ years of related Technical Product Management experience
  • Proven Product Managment full lifecycle experience in a Technical Environment/Industry (program management, budget, partner with sales professionals, product launch to end)
  • Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5+ years experience; or equivalent experience​
