We are looking for a Head of Brand here at INSHUR, pre-pandemic based in New York City and currently remote but working the EST timezone. You’ll be working on a next gen commercial auto insurance platform expanding in the USA, UK and the EU.

What you'll do

As our Head of Brand and Communications, you’ll be supported by (and reporting to) the Chief Growth Officer, and joining a friendly team of 7. You will be directly responsible for managing our brand strategy, driving awareness and making INSHUR truly stand out by telling a clear and compelling story across all brand touchpoints, externally and internally. Building your team and network of suppliers, you will craft and develop the company brand including a complete brand book, brand manifesto and promise, branded collateral and assets. Working closely with all departments, you will coordinate brand initiatives to directly support our growth ambition; you will head up our public relations and communications to captivate customers, partners and investors; and you will be instrumental in helping the People team drive an exceptional culture with high employee engagement via our internal comms.

We don’t have a checklist of skills - our recruitment is much more around aptitude and passion so don’t worry if you’ve not used a particular tool or checked off all the skills and experience listed below. However, we think the below would make you successful in this role.

  • Have a track-record of building or (re)launching truly outstanding brands in high growth environments and a strong experience building and developing challenger brands
  • Are passionate about building a strong brand and able to link big picture strategy with short-term goals
  • Know how to drive brand awareness across multiple markets and geographies
  • Successfully led teams of brand, communication and public relations experts
  • Worked hand in hand with marketing teams to deliver high performing brand campaigns
  • Are driven by creative intuition but able to report, test and course-correct based on data
  • Established best-in-class brand measurement framework for overall reputation, including awareness, consideration and sentiment
  • Understand the power of internal communications and know what a powerful employer brand can do for hiring, retention and advocacy

We are based in and around the NYC area but currently work 100% remote. Post-pandemic we may consider transitioning to a hybrid office and home-based model with travel to co-working spaces for in-person meetings as needed.
