Logistics Specialist II will provide packaging engineering support, special container design, packaging estimates and formal quotes. This position will coordinate transportation of material and correspondence within the local Raytheon business environment while providing Export shipment coordination, processing, and documentation/record requirements for both the Aurora and Omaha facilities. Occasional travel may be required. Additional direct responsibilities include but are not limited to: •Establish and maintain Export documentation /records for export compliance with regards to Customs and Corporate audit guidelines, in support of internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. •Cross train junior level team members at the Aurora and Omaha sites on shipping and transportation processes in addition to Export coordination, processing, and documentation requirements. •Initiate requests for quotations and proposals, receive data and analyze proposed pricing in support of proposal efforts. •Work with internal customers to ensure specifications and Statements of Work are appropriate for required shipping / transportation tasks. •Identify opportunities and strategies to reduce risks and costs associated with material shipments and associated transportation requirements. •Oversee the retention of packing material and supplies for future use in support of program shipments. •Performs daily shipment packaging and arranges transportation services for domestic and international shipments. •Tracks shipments, investigates associated discrepancies and files claims. •Maintain shipping metrics for site and corporate review. •Assigns and prioritizes department workload. •Support internal, external and customer led audits as required. •Provide additional support of Receiving, Courier and Mailroom departments during peak workload periods. •Maintain training and certifications for the safe operation of powered industrial equipment and to ensure the compliance and safe handling of dangerous goods for both air and ground transportation.
Required Skills: · 2 years of related work experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment. · Proficient in desk-top computer systems including MS Office applications. · Sound knowledge of logistics work flow from receipt through shipment · Ability to lift 50 pounds and carry for 40 feet several times daily · Thorough knowledge for the safe operation of a range of company vehicles and powered industrial equipment with current fork-lift certification · In-depth knowledge of rules and regulations governing dangerous goods transport with current training certifications · Excellent customer relation skills with both internal and external contacts · Must be able to work autonomously with little to no supervision and demonstrate flexibility · Excellent verbal and written communications skills · Organized with a thorough attention to detail and consistent follow up on job commitments · Regularly communicates important issues or potential problems and assists in developing solutions · Maintain consistent high quality with rapid execution · Team player comfortable operating in a high energy and often deadline driven environment · Efficient and courteous communications fostering a diverse and inclusive environment · Must be flexible and possess the ability to deal with shifting priorities and changes. · Ability to multi-task while meeting the demands of several complex goals. · Flexibility for occasional travel · US Citizenship with the ability to obtain security clearance.
Desired Skills: · Knowledge of ISO9001 and Six Sigma processes and certifications/requirements. · Knowledge of DOT regulations · Understanding of FAR Property compliance regulations

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $53,900.00 to $94,300.00; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
